An Innovative Solution for Elevators

Pre-Covid, New York’s 63,000 passenger elevators made 35 million passenger trips each day. Many are concentrated in the most valuable commercial hubs and now carry a fraction of the daily passengers due to the pandemic and the fear which accompanies it.

Clearway addresses this fear by bringing fresh, outside air into elevator cabs. While others focus on sanitization, UV light, and touchless keypads, we at Clearway trust the science and know that Covid is airborne. Using our patent pending technology, Clearway pumps fresh air into elevators while exhausting dirty air. Passengers will feel subtle, clean airflow as the air changes per hour (ACHs) in the elevator increase from 3-6 (standard code) to up to 18*. A sleek CO2 gauge ensures that each passenger can see for themselves that air quality in the cab is as good, if not better than the outdoors.

*airplane ACH’s are between 9-20

New York has long been the skyscraper capital of the world, where elevators are not a convenience, but a necessity. These skyscrapers have been practically empty since March, but that will change, with Covid-19 protocols transforming life.
